Have a dream

I envy people who have dreams, people who know what they want in their life... simply because I don't know my direction in life. Many things I did in life, I did it because I don't know what I want. To tell the truth, even though I entered ADM, I still don't know what I really want.

One of those who have a dream and work towards THAT dream is this girl called jingna. She celebrated her 20th birthday recently, she's the same age as I, yet we're so so different. She's so far away, working so hard for her dream, achieving so much. First saw her in deviantart, didn't really like her that much then, coz i thought she's too commercial. After looking around in dA again recently, I came to appreciate her more. What made me respect her was when I read her journal entry and found out more about her. She's the girl who gave up so much to chase her dream, and though I've never been in a situation like the one she experienced, I believe that a lot of people must have thought that she made the wrong decision giving up so much. But I suppose after seeing what she is right now, they'll change their mind. visit her at http://www.zemotion.net

I don't know my dream yet. My childhood dreams included fashion designer, pianist, dancer... those are the ones that I remember. Dancer lasted for a longer time, but gradually, I thought that it's more likely that I'll do it as sorta 'part-time'... now, sometimes I get sick of it. The more recent ones became animation, children's book illustrator... I really don't know what I want in life.

If you have a dream, be proud of it, work towards it. If you haven't achieved your dream yet, don't give up... at least you have that dream to chase, that dream that gives you the drive in life. I envy you, for you have a dream. Recently, while rereading "Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, I came upon this line spoken between two best friends "keep your dream, because you never know when you'll need it" One said to the other "when I die, everything I own will be yours..." and the other replied "except your dreams".

the famous zhang jingna.... ya she's pretty awesome, by tat i mean pretty and awesome...haha

personally i think people who pursue an art education are all dreamers. dun forget the moment u chose to enrol into adm instead of any other school, u have made a decision that's realli no turning back from.

mayb u feel lost or disillusioned now but i'm sure things will work out fine when u carry on with ur studies. hey, in fact i think ur dream is to do things that allow u to be involved in the arts scene, like music and fashion and visual stuff. u love art in general, not just one aspect of art and tat makes u a true artist in ur own right. u dun have to force urself into a specialised role... a photographer can still enjoy animation just as a product designer can enjoy graphic design. u are something special, art would be pleased to know she has a child like u.

(yup, i personified art)

it's not tat u dun know what ur dreams are, it's just that ur dream is big, too big that u can't see it cos u're standing so near to only one aspect of it.

hope i made sense... haha, have a nice life!
